  1968 - Rothschild’s

Varsity Shop at Orbach’s

Steve first got into the clothing business when a close friend in need of a charismatic salesman hired him to work at the Varsity Shop. Within the year, Steve became one of the best salesmen and truly fell in love with every aspect of the industry. Not long after, he was promoted to manager and buyer for a new store in Tulsa.

Steve continues to learn more about how to operate a business and excels at every step. While at the Farm, he hires his future wife and, within a month, asks her to marry him, but just to be sure, Cathy waits another 5 before doing so. As they begin to start their family, Steve feels that he has outgrown his constraints at the farm, so he decides to test out the waters with his very own store in the Williams Center.

The first attempt at his own store ultimately taught him lessons he would carry with him to this day. Though executed exactly to his vision, The William’s Center as a whole was just not meant to be at that time and place in Tulsa. After 3 years, Steve got an opportunity to start again, this time in Dallas.

1983 - Harrison & Co

Steve’s second chance in Dallas was a dream come true. He catered to a huge market in upscale Highland Park under a private label, helping dress many powerful people all across Dallas. However, the economic downturn of the mid-80s tightened pockets and forced Steve to return to his roots back in Oklahoma City.

After much prayer and careful guidance by the Lord, he was able to open a store in Nichols Hills Plaza. By returning home to familiar ground, now equipped with the expertise needed to succeed on his own, he did just that. Following 34 years of serving the community, turning clients into friends, we now do the same at NorthPark Mall with the finest, handcrafted selection of high-end men’s clothing.
